We are so excited to kick off our new blog with this gorgeous citrus inspired wedding!

When Cayla & Tom came to us, they didn't have a venue & the vision was quite different from what we actually ended up with when we laid out the final designs. Our hearts burst when they chose the Crabtree's Kittle House, which is where Erich & I were married. As we finalized design & the date drew near, Cayla decided she wanted to embrace the summer with bright, fresh citrus colors...and we couldn't have loved it more!

One of the biggest reasons a wedding is so beautiful & successful is an amazing group of vendors, and we had just that. The photos were from our loves at Flora & Fauna, music from Beyonder Events, and our best Photo Booth pals at Fun Booth

Planning, Design, & Florals by Whimsy Weddings

Just look at these shoes! Absolute perfection for a summer garden wedding.

The soft material on the bride's dress was what dreams are made of. It was so flowy & dreamy.

The Kittle House has their own garden where they grow herbs and other vegetables and flowers they use in their cuisine. During cocktail hour guests could check out the gardens.

The textures I got to work with on the flowers were amazing. From delicate tulips to coral peonies to what seemed like a thousand types of greens, I was in heaven. Our studio was filled to the brim with the brightest, cheeriest florals.

The groom's royal blue suit was perfection.

The couple's invite suite came from Minted. When we were thinking about what would work for their citrus wedding, the bride found the perfect citrus liners on etsy, and they went perfectly with the greenery detail on the invites. It all went together so effortlessly.

When we create bridesmaid florals, we like to make them miniature versions of the brides. I loved how well the flowers went with the peachy pink bridesmaid dresses. They were fun, whimsical, and bright!

The backdrop at the Kittle House doesn't need anything- just look at that view! To not obstruct the beautiful view, we went with a simple arch that we adorned with luscious greens & oranges. I will tell you what...oranges are quite heavy when they are all strung together and under the summer sun...you can imagine I wasn't looking very glamorous once the ceremony started.

The escort card display was probably my favorite element to this event. We took tangerines & had all the escort cards printed on small leaves that we attached to the tangerines. Each guest grabbed their own tangerine to take them to their tables. When everyone was seated, the tables were filled with pops of orange! So pretty.

A simple menu to match the invitation suite tied all the paper together.

We sliced oranges to put on the tables for an added fun element. We saw guests taking a lot of pics, which always makes my heart burst when the guests love our designs....

We loved working with these two! We are so thrilled to have met them, and their wonderful family & friends.
